About Wave Interactive
Wave Interactive is a small studio with big ambitions. We're 3 people, each with his own discipline and experience but with one common passion: Video Games.
We all share the same notion that no matter what we'll always make video games, even if it means working for minimum wage (which has happened before) As long as we can create what we love most.
Pre - Wave Interactive
Gal Kfir worked at Microsoft R&D where he designed several prototypes and demos for a Kinect based video game. The game showcased a new interface patent which he and a talented team of developers made in a very short time. The interface called "Kintext" and the game Gal designed for it won 1st place in Microsoft's "Be What's Next" global competition winning the People's Choice award. He eventually left Microsoft to open his own game studio called Wave Interactive.
Press / Business Contact
Adi Katz is Gal's older step brother. He worked for over 30 years as a freelance illustrator. Drawing children books and comic strips. Have no traditional education Adi learned everything by experience. He used to draw cartoons and illustrations of Buck, the family dog. These illustrations would become Buck's first Concept Art.
Amir Barak's first game was programmed on the C64 in Basic off the back of 80's magazines. After a 7 years stint in Australia where he studied video game programming and worked in the local industry, he finally found a home working on Buck. He's worked with the Unity3D engine for the last few years on several projects. This guy is three programmers crammed into one.
Wave Interactive Games
Gal and Amir met by chance at a local gaming event. They soon realized they have much in common in terms of what games they love, most notably the Witcher series. Both of them have read the books, played the games at least 5 times and purchased the games both on Steam, GoG and retail just to support CDProjekt:RED
Gal had already designed a very basic concept for Buck with Adi's help. he showed it to Amir that night.
Amir, without even negotiating a price, called Gal the following night with a prototype concept for the game in Unity3D.
Wave Interactive Games was founded 4 months afterwards.
