Behind the game

The story behind our game started in 1997.

Gal had just received his 7th birthday gift, a three month old puppy called Buck. The two became best buds and grew up together.

Gal has been playing video games since he was 5 years old and the thought of making a game about Buck came to him when he was 12. Luckily, Gal's brother, Adi is an artist. 

The two sat down and started to draw character designs for how cool Buck would look as a game's protagonist. He was small but he was no push over. The family always called him "little badass".

With "little badass" in mind, Adi came up with several concepts for Buck's design:

They met during family event and sat down to draw

different versions of Buck, levels, characters and

cool looking weapons.

As time moved forward, Gal began studying programs like Photoshop and After Effects while

trying to learn whatever he could about game production and design.

Neither Gal or Adi could've expected this passion

project to become a real, actual game.

In late 2012, Gal pieced together "gameplay" mock-ups that simulated what the game would look and feel like. 

Gal's Mock-up gameplay footage and cinematic trailer caught the eye of Amir, a programmer with real passion for old-school video games and detective thrillers.

Gal, Amir and Adi formed the studio a few months later under the name "Wave Interactive" and have been developing the game independently for nearly 4 and a half years. 


Unfortunately, the real Buck passed away in 2014 but his legacy will leave on as the first dog to have a full indie title dedicated to him.

BUCK is aimed to be released near the end of 2017 with PS4 and Xbox One releases following soon after in 2018.
